Hello! My name is Ben, and I am the Co-Owner and Managing Director here at Well Springs. We are a stand-alone family run care home and it has been in our family’s ownership since 2006.

I joined the business in 2015 to work alongside my father, not before performing many roles in the home in my first year. This shaped my understanding of what it takes to work in care and many staff I worked with then are still here today. Over my 9 years in the business, I have been able to learn what it takes to offer truly Outstanding care and I will always strive to reach the high standards we set ourselves.

In my role, I meet all prospective families to show them the home and introduce them to the fabulous staff we have working here. Our staff are by far our biggest asset, and we work tirelessly to support them so that they can do the job to the best of their abilities. We have lots of “salt of the earth” people who have spent decades working here and embody our values every day.

I am at the home 5 days a week and focus on the day to day running of the business, alongside colleagues who share the same passion for excellence that I do.

I became involved with Well Springs Nursing Home in 2003 and fully acquired the home in 2006.

Since then a policy of continuous improvement has resulted in better facilities and – more importantly – Care, thanks to the dedication of both the Management team and the Care Staff. A building extension in 2019 resulted in improved Lounge, Dining Room, Kitchen, Staff Room, State of the art Assisted Bathrooms, Laundry, Maintenance & Storage Room.

In 2022 my son, Ben became the Managing Director and has taken over the management of the Home.

My name is Sue Walsh. I have been the Registered Manager at Well Springs since May 2018 however; I have been with the business since 2004 in other administrative roles. Prior to joining the business, I had an accounting background which has helped in my role, and I have built an extensive knowledge of the care sector in my time working at the home.

I have implemented many changes in legislation and care requirements over the years and take pride in trying to achieve the best outcomes for our residents. We have a fantastic team, without which it would be impossible to achieve the high level of care that we all take pride in.

Our reviews are a testament to the dedication and hard work that the whole team puts in. We strive to achieve outstanding results and a high standard of care.

My role involves leading the team, quality control and overseeing all aspects of the daily running of the home. It is a varied and very busy role, but I am dedicated and passionate about working in the sector.

Hi, I’m Joe and I have been at Well Springs for nearly two decades as a member of the nursing team.

As Clinical Lead my role is to support the Registered Manager and the nursing team to achieve the best outcomes for the residents who live in our home.

I am a big believer that a nurse is not what you do but who you are. I am a nurse and love caring for those who are in need. My desire to deliver great care is a big reason I have enjoyed being part of the Well Springs family for so long, alongside many other staff who have worked here just as long as I have.

Hi! My name is Gina, and I am the Business Lead at Well Springs.

I started working at Well Springs in 2019 as the administrator. I developed my knowledge for the care industry in the administrator role for 4 years until I progressed into the role of Business Lead in 2023. Since then, I have achieved a distinction in AAT level 2 in accounting and am currently studying for AAT level 3.

My role oversees the back-office side to the business, ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible. Working closely with the owners and management team, I am able to work on projects over and above my role and do my best to help in our goal of delivering outstanding care at every opportunity.

Hi, my name is Jess, and I am the Human Resource Lead for Well Springs Nursing Home.

I joined the organisation in September 2022 to help develop and enhance the organisations wellbeing and ability to support the people who work here. I recognise the hard work and dedication that our staff demonstrate.

In my role, I focus on recruitment, staff retention, training, and staff wellbeing. I continuously seek methods to support our people and I am passionate about creating a supportive environment. I strongly believe that if staff are well cared for, then this can only result in better care for our residents. I actively promote and align with Well Springs core values and when recruiting, prioritise candidates who also share and can demonstrate these values.
